Stereolithography materials are photo-reactive resins that are laser-cured with pinpoint accuracy to create 3D printed parts with excellent surface quality and high accuracy. The process involves the use of liquid resin that solidifies layer-by-layer when exposed to UV light.

Due to the excellent attention to detail, SL materials are widely used in manufacturing. The material's ability to create complex shapes and fine layer thicknesses also makes it ideal for creating prototypes, functional parts, and final products.

Stereolithography materials are available in a variety of colors, from transparent to opaque, and can be customized to achieve specific mechanical properties such as stiffness, toughness, and flexibility. The variety of different SL materials available today enables the production of parts with different degrees of strength, durability, and temperature resistance.

Somos® WaterShed® XC 11122

Somos® Watershed® XC 11122 enables the creation of detailed printed parts with excellent clarity and water resistance. Its ABS and PBT-like properties make it a very popular and most widely used resin among users.


Somos® WaterClear® Ultra 10122

Somos® WaterClear® Ultra 10122 is used to produce printed parts with the highest optical clarity like acrylic glass. The material is ideal for applications such as flow analyses, master models, and concept and functional models.


Somos® WaterShed® Black

Somos® WaterShed® Black has excellent resistance to moisture and chemicals and can be processed up to 50% faster than other black SL materials. In addition, low post-processing requirements allow durable parts to be produced in black color without the need for painting.


Somos® 9120

Somos® 9120 material offers a good balance between stiffness as well as functionality and also has excellent fatigue properties, making it particularly suitable for semi-flexible printed parts. Commonly used for automotive components, electrical housings and medical products, Somos 9120 resin generally offers a wide processing range.

Somos® EvoLVe 128

Somos® EvoLVe 128 enables the printing of durable and detailed parts that are easy to post-process. With an appearance and haptic that are barely indistinguishable from thermoplastics, Somos® EvoLVe 128 is particularly suitable for robust and functional printed parts, such as snap connections and fixtures.


Somos® DMX SL™-100

Somos® DMX SL™ 100 is a durable and robust stereolithography material that, thanks to a unique and cost-effective "dry removal" process, enables the production of complex, hollow composite parts in just a few days - all without compromising quality or aesthetics.


Somos® PerFORM™

Somos® PerFORM™- has the lowest viscosity of all composites for stereolithography. It is ideally suited for the production of robust and rigid printed parts with little post-processing. Combined with its high temperature resistance and excellent detail resolution, Somos® PerFORM™ is ideal for use in tooling, high-temperature testing, and the electrical and automotive industries.


Somos® PerFORM Reflect™

Somos® PerFORM Reflect™ was specially developed for use in the wind tunnel. With PerFORM Reflect™, stiff and temperature-resistant printed parts can be produced which can be used for wind tunnel tests without additional PIV coating. This reduces the amount of post-processing required by up to 30 percent.


Somos® Taurus

Somos® Taurus guarantees printed parts with excellent surfaces and thus reduces post-processing efforts. With highly detailed imaging and isotropic mechanical properties, Somos® Taurus offers thermal and mechanical performance otherwise reserved for thermoplastic printing processes.


Somos® Element

Somos® Element material is antimony-free and improves the quality of casting models. The dimensionally stable print models leave only a small amount of ash residue after burnout, which can be easily removed, leaving a clean hollow space in the ceramic mold.


Somos® Momentum

Somos® Momentum is a pink material developed in collaboration with shoe manufacturers. It offers the possibility to print fine details with high accuracy, creating shoe soles in the original design but also in the aluminum form.


Somos® BioClear

Somos® BioClear print parts are transparent and have similar mechanical properties to ABS, with good strength and toughness, and resistance to moisture and chemicals. The material was developed for medical applications and is suitable for limited body contact (<24h). After following prescribed cleaning procedures, Somos® BioClear has passed tests according to ISO 10993-5 cytotoxicity, ISO 10993-10 irritation and sensitization, and USP Class VI.


Somos® NeXt

Somos® NeXt print parts are extremely resistant and exhibit toughness, durability and accuracy that is almost indistinguishable from conventional thermoplastics. Based on Somos DMX technology, it offers better moisture resistance and excellent thermal and mechanical properties.


Somos® GP Plus 14122

Somos® GP Plus 14122 is an opaque white resin with low viscosity and an all-rounder among stereolithography resins. It can be used for just about any application. One example is testing the functionality of parts before they go into series production.


Somos® ProtoGen 18420

Somos® ProtoGen 18420 offers a wide range of applications due to its excellent chemical, temperature and moisture resistance. ABS-like and precise parts can be easily printed with the resin.


Somos® ProtoTherm 12120

Somos® ProtoTherm 12120 is a red resin that combines high temperature resistance with excellent surface finish and dimensional stability in one part. It is particularly suitable for the production of robust parts in the automotive and aerospace industries.
